And carry your heart into my arms/That's where you belong

we don't like the post office
it irritates us as of late
but we love the fact that mom carries big zip lock bags
in her bottomless handbag
we love to save snow for that one particular day in July
when the heat is harsh against the house
when the day needs a whimsical addition
when we run to the freezer
and shout
SNOW BALLS!

If we did that down here in Atlanta, they'd have to last a decade. That's about how often we get snow. :)

I may have to "borrow" the saving snow idea!

Thank you for stopping by!

I love this idea. We'd have to invest in a heavy duty cooler, to get the snow back from the local mountains. Then there's the problem that I would probably need to fill the whole freezer, as I would never leave it there 'til July, otherwise. But the possibility of having snow to touch, whenever the warm California winters get me down... it would be worth it.

I don't stand a chance to convincing my Scrooge of a husband, though...

That is a great idea! You should also make snow ice cream with him! You put the cream and sugar, etc. inside one ziploc and then put that bag inside another bigger ziploc with snow and then shake and shake and shake till it freezes. Google it and I'm sure you can find a good recipe. My kids love to do this.

That first picture is awesome! I love it. As a boy my brother and I used to save snow balls too, that is so cute.

I have to hide your blog from my kids, so they don't realize they got screwed in the mom department.
