" Yeah but bacon tastes good. Pork chops taste good."

I want to read this book.
It seems perfect in these sluggish economic times.
I feel kinda drawn to this writer.
She seemed kinda fierce.

"Probably one of the most private things in the world is an egg until it is broken."

M.F.K. Fisher is amazing. i finally read some of her stuff recently, and I don't know why I didn't read it 20 years ago.

I have never read her either, and I am looking for a new book. Thanks for the tip off!

MFK is a favorite of mine, thanks to my friend, Porter, who helped me rediscover the love. P also introduced me to Laurie Colwin, who is just as fabulous about food and food writing, but less Dorothy Parkeresque. I'll loan you Home Cooking.

I haven't read any of her work. It caught my eye because there have been articles lately about squirrel showing up on restaurant menus.
