We might have gone to the Ohio State Fair today. I like to go each year and look at the animals and decorated cakes and eat fried foods on sticks and rub shoulders with the carnies. I mean is there any thing more fascinating and interesting than the carnie life? But, Finn woke up ill. I should have known. Whenever he is mean it is often followed by sickness. He is sleepy sick all day and we won't do much. Not today.

The Ohio State Fair sounds similar to the one in Texas. Lots of fun too!

Oh I'm sorry he is sick...I say each year after I attend that I am definitiely not going the next year and I always do. I think it is the fried food on a stick that has me coming back for more!
ah yes, carnies... a mysterious type of individual indeed. I worked at the AZ state fair the year after graduation... oh the memories... I'm not a regular reader, just stumbled here and read this post so I don't know if Finn is your son, husband or cat.. but I hope he feels better in time for you to get your yearly fair food fix.
Carnivals are one of the things I miss most about my smaller town life. Sure, I can go to Coney Island and "Shoot the Freaks" but it's just not the same.
